Hi everyone,
Its the weekend already here (advantage of being always head of the rest of the world haha), and this morning I loaded up the "beast" (Black BMW X5) with my board + wetsuit (long arms / long legs) and headed down through the clear blue sky towards the surf at Manly.
This place is about 10 mins from the middle of Sydney that you got to view during the "greatest Olympics of all time". The sun was beaming down and the water was crystal and still with no wind. It was just like some of the mornings we shared on Maui without the "heat" - pity.
However when I drove over the hill to head down to the sandy beach I noticed a distinct lack of rideable waves. So instead I went for a walk along the waters edge and reflected on the many "friends" I had made only one month ago and how technology had allowed me to remain globally connected.
Over night I received text messages from Florida Bob and Little Lisa's progress which was great to hear - I miss you my drinking buddies !
I got word from J-Dawg that he was off on a camping trip so I hope the weather is friendly and he has a "rocking" good time.
Then I received a really nice email from M-Star* (aka healing hands) and she brought me up to date with what had been happening with her and her beau J-Luv.
It is these constant reminders of how close we grew in a week that makes me glad I live in the times that I do with the kind of people that I choose to call "friends". Whilst world and work issues will always be there its the choices I make to stay in touch with those that are important that keeps me "connected" and "happy".
You are all superstars and thank you for being part of my global family.
